From the 12th to the 19th of January, we’ll be coaching and playing beach volleyball in Maspalomas! Join us for high-quality coaching, an idyllic location, and a fun atmosphere to up your beach volleyball skills.

Delicious local cuisine, morning yoga, and two daily beach volleyball training sessions followed by free games until sunset will help you get your level ready for the upcoming summer season.

The camp will take place at Playa del Inglés, a breathtaking slice of paradise nestled along the pristine shores of Gran Canaria, and just a twenty-minute drive from the island’s capital, Las Palmas. With its golden sands and crystal-clear waters, Playa del Inglés offers the perfect setting for a beach volleyball camp.

Maspalomas is not just a destination; it’s an arena for beach volleyball enthusiasts. Picture yourself on the sand, with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop and the court as your stage. The rhythmic sound of waves sets the perfect ambiance for a beach volleyball extravaganza.

How to get there

Reaching Playa del Inglés in Maspalomas for our exciting beach volleyball camp is simple, thanks to the well-developed transportation options available in Gran Canaria

The nearest airport to Playa del Inglés is Gran Canaria Airport (LPA), located about 30 kilometres from Maspalomas. This international airport is well-served by numerous airlines from Europe and beyond.

From Gran Canaria Airport:

Airport Shuttle: Several shuttle services operate directly from the airport to Playa del Inglés. The journey takes about 30 minutes and can be booked in advance for convenience.

Taxi or Ride-Sharing: Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available at the airport and will take around 25-30 minutes to reach Playa del Inglés.

Bus: Public bus services (Global buses) run from the airport to Playa del Inglés. Line 66 and Line 90 are the most direct routes, with a travel time of approximately 40 minutes.

Golfing: Golf enthusiasts will find Maspalomas Golf Course an excellent destination. This 18-hole course is set against the backdrop of the dunes, offering a challenging yet picturesque golfing experience. The course is designed to cater to players of all levels and is complemented by high-quality facilities.

La Charca: Adjacent to the dunes is La Charca, a small lagoon that serves as a habitat for a variety of bird species, especially during migratory seasons. It’s an ideal spot for bird watching and enjoying the tranquility of nature.

What’s the weather like?

January is a delightful time to visit Maspalomas, located in the southern part of Gran Canaria. Known for its pleasant subtropical climate, Maspalomas offers mild and comfortable weather throughout the winter, making it an ideal destination for those seeking to escape the colder temperatures elsewhere.

In January, Maspalomas enjoys mild temperatures, with daytime highs typically ranging from 20°C to 23°C . Night time temperatures are cooler but still comfortable, usually ranging from 14°C to 16°C . This makes January perfect for outdoor activities and beachside relaxation.

The Atlantic Ocean around Maspalomas remains relatively warm in January, with sea temperatures averaging around 19°C. While it might be a bit brisk for some, many visitors find it pleasant enough for swimming, especially on sunnier days.

Maspalomas experiences mild to moderate winds in January. These winds can be refreshing, particularly during the warmer parts of the day, and are generally not strong enough to interfere with outdoor activities.
