Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona, Spain)!

Next October we’ll be coaching and playing beach volleyball in Vilanova i la Geltrú, a town on the coast of Barcelona! Join us for high-quality coaching, an idyllic location and fun atmosphere to up your beach volleyball skills.

Mediterranean cuisine, morning yoga and two daily beach volleyball training sessions followed by free games until the sunset that will help you get your level ready for the upcoming summer season

The camp will take place at Platja d’Adarró, a breath taking slice of paradise nestled along the pristine shores of Barcelona province and just a forty minute drive from Barcelona airport.

Vilanova i la Geltrú is not just a destination; it’s an arena for beach volleyball enthusiasts. Picture yourself on the sand, with the Mediterranean as your backdrop and the court as your stage. The rhythmic sound of waves sets the perfect ambiance for a sand volleyball extravaganza.

How to get there

Vilanova i la Geltrú is excellently located between two international airports 

Barcelona-El Prat international airport (BCN) is 30 km away, a quick and scenic 40-minute drive unfolds, leading participants to the sun-soaked shores of Vilanova i la Geltrú. 

From there the vast majority of airline companies operate, providing daily connections with the rest of Europe

Reus Airport is 50 km away from Vilanova i la Geltrú and has regular flights to Madrid and other connections with international airports

How do our days look at the Barcelona camp?

45-min yoga session at the water front to activate your muscles, mind and body.

Team warm-up, mobilising workout and little games to make sure you are ready to train.

Technical and tactical introduction and first training session within designated training groups.

Morning break.

Second training session expanding on the concepts seen in the first session.

Free time to play, explore or socialise. Some afternoons, we will organise tournaments.

Free time to socialise with the group or to relax on your own. We organise plenty of events such as group dinners, outings and more.

Vilanova i la Geltrú, a charming coastal town located just south of Barcelona, is a hidden gem in the heart of Catalonia. Beyond its stunning beaches and crystal-clear waters, Vilanova offers a rich tapestry of experiences for every kind of traveller.

Explore the town’s deep-rooted history and vibrant culture. Visit the Biblioteca-Museu Víctor Balaguer, one of the oldest museums in Catalonia, housing an impressive collection of art and historical artifacts. Take a stroll through the picturesque old town, where narrow streets and historic buildings tell the story of Vilanova’s past. Don’t miss the beautiful neoclassical architecture of La Geltrú Castle and the Parish Church of St. Anthony the Abbot, with its striking Gothic features.Another must-see is the Sant Joan Baptista Church, renowned for its stunning baroque interior.

Vilanova is home to several architectural gems and charming squares. Plaça de la Vila, the main square, is surrounded by beautiful buildings and is the perfect place to relax with a coffee and watch the world go by. What’s the weather like?

October is a wonderful time to visit Vilanova i la Geltrú, as the town enjoys mild and pleasant weather, perfect for outdoor activities and beachside relaxation. Daytime temperatures hover around 22°C, while nights can cool down to about 15°C.

Located on the Catalan coast, this charming destination offers a delightful mix of Mediterranean climate conditions during the fall.

For those who love swimming, the Mediterranean Sea remains relatively warm in October, with sea temperatures averaging around 21°C . This is still comfortable for a refreshing dip, making beach days quite enjoyable.

The town experiences light to moderate winds in October, adding a pleasant breeze to the warm days. Winds are generally not strong enough to disrupt outdoor plans but can be quite refreshing.
